Exhibition: The UN Global Goals – Lessons for All

THIS OUTDOOR EXHIBITION USES STRIKING IMAGES BY THE FRENCH PHOTOGRAPHER YANN ARTHUS-BERTRAND TO ILLUSTRATE THE 17 UN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS FOR 2030.

IT WILL ALSO BE REPRODUCED IN POSTER FORM AND SENT FREE OF CHARGE TO ALL PRIMARY, SECONDARY AND VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS IN DENMARK.

2030 – AN ACHIEVABLE UTOPIA

A dignified life for all on a healthy, living planet – this is the overall objective of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At first, these goals may sound like a utopian dream. However, paid holidays, a free health service, universal suffrage, student grants and pensions were all once unthinkable, in countries such as Denmark. Only when people dared to imagine them and then convince others did the unthinkable become thinkable – and then reality.

The posters outline the type of world we can have in 2030 if we work together to make it a reality. A world without poverty and hunger, where everybody is equal, where we protect the Earth’s biodiversity and put the brakes on climate catastrophe, is not out of reach. The 169 sub-targets and other points make the SDGs tangible.

The exhibition is the result of a partnership with a range of companies and organisations, runs from the 10th till the 20th of October and is located outside BLOX.
